Mock Evaluation 13-17 June 2022
The FIU in collaboration with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime organised another training for the upcoming Second Round of Mutual Evaluation. The training was held from 13 -17 June 2022. The focus of the training was to capacitate the attending Government officials on how to adequately respond to both the technical and effectiveness questionnaires that the country will be evaluated on during the second round of mutual evaluation.
The attendance was lobbied around the Money Laundering National Task Team which boasts a variety of specialists positioned in the different government ministries. They are seasoned professionals who are continuously capacitated to execute the Money Laundering mandate within their different governmental ministries. This training was reported to have immensely improved the understanding of the government officers appreciation for the rigorous evaluation the country will be faced with beginning July 2022. The Task Team shall be meeting in the coming weeks to populate the questionnaires and applying the training imparted.
